We are GoECart. Founded in 1999, GoECart drives increased revenue and profit for customers by providing them with our award-winning, hosted, e-commerce on-demand solution at an affordable cost. We are currently building our sales capacity to aggressively capture market share.
 
As our Director of Inside Sales, you must be a highly independent, assertive, and confident self-starter who has a strong sense of sales urgency and likes to work in a fast-paced environment. In managing our rapidly growing list of prospects, you will have the opportunity to prove yourself by building and scaling our inside sales team, recruiting and hiring new sales personnel, and building the right systems and process infrastructure to support our inside sales initiatives.
 
You will aggressively grow new sales as well increase our growing customer base as we expand our set of products and services. As a key executive reporting to the CEO, you will also participate in helping to set company direction and strategy.
 
We are seeking an e-commerce-savvy, hands-on sales manager who has previously built an Insides Sales department, who has demonstrated experience with hiring, managing, motivating, and retaining an inside sales staff, who has created a repeatable, predictable sales process, and who has consistently met or exceeded their sales goals.

Reports To: CEO

Based At: Bridgeport, Connecticut Office

Primary Role:
Build, manage, and lead an inside sales department that: handles sales for new and existing customers through the use of the telephone, e-mail, and Internet, and consistently meets or exceeds sales quotas

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage, mentor, and retain a consultative inside sales organization: in particular, manages employee goal setting, performance assessment, career planning/development, and salary compensation
  • Develop and achieve sales forecasts
  • Develop and implement repeatable, predictable inside sales processes
  • Manage prospect pipeline from interest to close
  • Maintain and improve a successful and positive culture that is evidenced by high employee morale and low turnover
  • Develop and implement annual sales plans
  • Define and report on metrics to measure performance of the inside sales activities
  • Ensure that the sales plan is aligned and supports corporate revenue and market share objectives
  • Manage the proposal process
Qualifications

Prior Experience
  • Three-plus years in sales management selling software applications over the telephone and Internet
  • Prior experience with creating, managing, and growing an inside sales staff—from start-up to 10+ sales representatives—that consistently met or exceeded sales quotas
  • Experience screening, recruiting, hiring, and developing new sales team members
  • Proven prior success as an inside sales representative

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
