Shopping Cart Software Instructions
Shopping Cart Software Admin Panel Help - ORDERS SECTION

In this section you have the option of viewing the details of orders with different Status levels. The orders have been categorized into eight different levels depending on their current status. An order can have one of the following status levels:

New Orders
Under this section you can view the details of New Orders received by the store. Some available options in this section are:

  • The Orders per page option can be used to select the number of records displayed per page
  • Order #, which will display the details pertaining to the order with a particular order number
  • Date - Reports when the order was placed
  • Customer Name - The name of the customer who has placed the order
  • Shipping Address of the order where the products are to be shipped
  • Total value of the order, which the customer has to pay
  • Status - The status of the order
  • Actions: This gives you the option to
    1. Edit the order details
    2. Delete the order details
    3. Print the order details

    Edit: This will direct you to the systematized format of the Order Information. This provides complete details about the order, which can be edited as per the changes required.

    Delete: This will delete the order completely from the database.

    Print: This will display the printable view of the selected Order details

  • Change Selected to: You can change the Status of selected Orders by checking the check boxes of the respective Orders, then selecting the Status you want to change and then clicking the “Go” button.

    Note: While changing the status, the admin can specify whether to update the Stock in Inventory. A popup window will be displayed with the following options:

  • YES: The stock in inventory will be updated based on the order quantity. If the status is changed from New, In Progress, On Hold, To Ship, or Partially Shipped to Returned or Cancelled, then the Stock in Quantity will be increased (since the quantity of the product in the selected Order is returned to the inventory). Otherwise the stock will be decreased.
  • NO: The stock in the inventory will not be affected because of the status changes
  • Cancel: closes the popup without changing the status.

In Progress
Under this section you can view the details of the Orders that are In Progress. The various options available here are:

  • Orders per page option, which can be used to select the number of records displayed per page
  • Order #, which on clicking will display the order details pertaining toa particular order
  • Date when the order was placed
  • Customer Name who has placed the order
  • Address of the Customer who has placed the order
  • Total value of the order in US Dollars
  • Status - The status of the order can be selected from the options given in the drop down list at the left hand bottom of the template. The options available are New, In Progress, On Hold, To Ship, Partially Shipped, Shipped, Returned and Cancelled.
  • Actions: This gives you the option to
    1. Edit the order details
    2. Delete the order details
    3. Print the order details
    Edit: This will direct you to the systematized format of the Order Information. This gives the complete history of order details, which can be edited as per the required changes.
    Delete: This will delete the order completely from the database.
    Print: This will display the printable view of the selected Order details.

  • Change Selected to: You can change the Status of selected Orders by checking the check boxes of the respective Orders, then selecting the Status you want to change and then clicking the “Go” button.

On Hold Orders
Under this section you can view the details about the Orders that are kept On hold. Available options are:

  • Orders per page option, which can be used to select the number of records displayed per page
  • Order #, which on clicking will display the order details of a specific order
  • Date when the order was placed
  • Customer Name pertaining to the order
  • Address of the Customer who has placed the order
  • Total value of the order in US Dollars
  • Status - The status of the order can be selected from the options given in the drop down list at the left hand bottom of the template. The options available are New, In Progress, On Hold, To Ship, Partially Shipped, Shipped, Returned and Cancelled.
  • Actions: This gives you the option to
    1. Edit the order details
    2. Delete the order details
    3. Print the order details

To Ship Orders

Cancelled Orders
Under this section you can view the details about the Orders that are Cancelled. Available options are:

Search Orders
Under this section you can Search for the Orders on the basis of any of the following parameters

  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Zip
  • Order Status
  • Tracking Number
  • Order Number
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Discount Code

The Orders search result returns the following details: Order Number, Discount Code, Order Date, Order Status, Last Name, First Name, Zip, and Order Total. You can Sort the Order details from the displayed results by clicking the respective heading of the results table.
E.g. For Sorting the Orders search result based on the “Status” click the “Status” label in the result table.

The order details that are displayed based on the search criteria are listed below.

  • Order # the Order Number displayed as a link which on clicking displays the systematized format of the selected Order information. These details can be edited as required.
  • Date when the order was placed
  • Status of the particular Order
  • Last Name of the customer who has placed the order
  • First Name of the customer who has placed the order
  • Zip code of the Customer who has placed the order
  • Order Total value of the particular order in US Dollars

  • Sales-Report Page
  • Store Activity Report Page

When linked from the Sales - Report this page displays Order details for the specific product.

When linked from the Reports - Store Activity Report, this page displays Order details for the specific Store Activity Report Period (i.e., Monthly, Weekly, Daily).

Orders - Other Information
Under this section you can edit the Order Information like Order Status, Tracking Number, Order Notes, Customer Information and Billing Information. You can use the Rich Text Editor to design the display style of the Order Notes and Admin Notes. This Rich Text Editor gives you the flexibility to choose the font, font color, indenting of the text, inserting of images, hyper linking to other pages etcetera. The Previous and Next buttons can be used to navigate to the previous and the next order information.

The “Create” link is used to create UPS Shipping labels. On clicking the link will create a shipping label with a tracking number assigned from the UPS site.

The “View” link is used for viewing the UPS Shipping label. The administrator can take a printout of the label if desired.
