In this section the details relating to the Products
will be listed. The features available under this
section allow you to add and manage products and
their related details. The various sub-menus available
are:
Inventory
Manager
In this section you can add new products and product
groups to your online store. The “Search In” function
helps you look for a particular product or product
group using the following search options:
- Product Name
- SKU
- Short Description
- Long Description
- Category
- Manufacturer
- Price Range
The search results return the
product information with details on SKUs, Product
Name, Price and the Stock Quantity.
The SKU of the product
group will be represented as “Group” and the products
will be represented by their SKU value.

Actions
- Edit: This helps you to edit the product
and product group information
- Delete: This will delete the Product
Group
Note: Deleting a Product
will delete the associated Products within the Product
Group
Stock Qty – Displays the
available stock quantity for the selected product
Update all displayed items to stock qty value
- This allows you to modify the Stock Quantity
values of all the listed items by entering the
new value. Click the ‘GO’ button to update the
stock quantity of the displayed products to the
value entered in the “Update Stock Qty value”
text box.
Save Stock Changes – This will update the
Product Details with the stock quantity entered
in the Stock Qty text boxes available for each
product displayed.

Inventory
Manager - Product Group Editor
This Product Group Editor enables you to add to
or edit the Product Group details. A Product Group
consists of the following pieces of information:
- Product Group Name - Name of the Product
Group
- Category - The Category with which
this Product Group is associated. A product
group can be associated under a Main Category
or a Sub Category.
- Images - Images to be shown in the
client section for the current Product Group
- Home Page Featured - If checked this
Product Group will be displayed in the Home
Page
- Category Featured - If checked this
Product Group will be listed in the top position
of the Category Group with which it is associated
- Use Image as Thumbnail - This option
is used to Resize and display the Image as a
Thumbnail in the storefront
- Visibility determines whether this
Product Group is displayed or not
- Search terms related to this Product
Group can be set for the Products Search
- Sort Code - Can be set for sorting
the Product Group. If set to “0”, it will be
listed in the top position in the Product Group
- Short Description and Long Description
– Contain brief and detailed Descriptions about
the Product Group respectively.

Grouped Products: Products
can be associated with a Product Group. This section
allows the associating of related products with
this Product Group. This section will not appear
in the New Product Group Add Section. It appears
once the Product Group gets created.
Note:
- Deleting a Product Group will not delete any
Product. It only deletes the link or association
of Products with this Product Group
- The Product Group gets deleted when its associated
Category is deleted
- The Preview link can be used to view the sample
output display of the Product Group in the Client

Inventory
Manager - Product Editor
This Product Editor enables you to add/ edit the
Product details. A Product consists of the following
sections:
- Simple
- Advanced (This link gets enabled only if the
Products are created. i.e. Simple section details
are updated)
Simple Section:
This section inputs the following details about
a Product:
- SKU – The Stock Keeping Unit
- Mfg SKU – The Manufacturer SKU Number
- Mfg Name – Manufacturer Name of the
Product
- Product Name – Name of the Product
- Category – Category to which this Product
belongs. The products can be associated under
a Main Category or any Sub Category
- Category-Featured – If selected, the
current Product will be listed on top when the
Products are listed under the Category to which
the current Product belongs
- Home-Page-Featured – If selected, the
current Product will be listed in the Home Page
- Images – Images associated with the
Product. You can specify thumbnail view Image,
Medium sized view image and large sized view
image
- Use Large Image as Medium Image and Thumbnail
– Check this box if you want to use the large
sized image for display as Thumbnail and Medium
sized image as well. You can define the image
size for the Thumbnail and Medium sized image
from the Site Settings.
Note : The large sized image is compulsory
for all the products if you want to use the
resize option.
- Weight – Weight of the Product. – Weight
and Weight Units are used during calculation
of Shipping Charges for the Product
- Weight Unit – The Weight Unit of the
product
- Cost – Cost of the Product
- Price – Price of the Product
- Min. Quantity – Minimum Quantity that
has to be maintained.
- Qty in Stock – The Numbers of the Products
currently in Stock
- Visible – To set the product's Visibility
- whether to display the Product or not
- Inventory Display Options - This is
to set the display options
- Do not Display – Not to display the Inventory
details in the Product Description pages
of the Client Side
- In Stock (Yes/ No) – To display the Stock
availability in the Client Section. If Stock
is not available it will be displayed as
“No” and “Yes” if the Stock is available.
- Item Count – Display the Products Item
Count
- Tax Rate in % - The tax rate in percentage
is used to apply the tax for individual Products.
If the tax rate is entered in this box, it will
be applied to the selected product when the
customer purchases it. Even though the “system
tax” is set or “no tax applicable” set in the
Tax Rate section, the tax is applicable on this
product if the tax rate is entered in percentage
here. If it is not entered, then the System
tax is applied. If the tax rate is zero, then
this product will not have any tax added to
it
- Search Terms (space-separated)– Keywords
related to this Product can be entered here,
which will enable a User to find this Product
when s/he enters them as search keywords
- Sort Code: The sort order of the product
- Short Description, Long Description
– Brief and Detailed Descriptions of the Product,
respectively

Cross-Sell Related Products
Cross-Sell Related Products: This section
will not be visible in the “Simple” section during
addition of a New Product. Once a New Product
is created this section will become visible. You
can associate a Product with related Products
from this section. The “Visible” checkbox is used
to set the Visibility of this Product in the Client
Section. the "Move" section can be used
to set the display order of the Associated Products
when associated Products for the current Product
are displayed.
Advanced Section:
Edit Product Personalization:
You can add Personalization Questions for the
Product in this section. You can also set the
“Required” option to true if the Questions are
required to be filled in during the Shopping Process.
Edit Product Options:
You can set Product options or Variants like Product
Color, Size and Shade and set Surcharges for the
Product Options, since this Option will have special
features distinct from the normal features of
the Product. You can also set the Visibility for
the Product Options.
Edit Quantity Discounts:
You can set Discounts for the Products based on
the Quantity of Products Purchased by Users.
Duplicate Product:
This will create a new copy of the Product similar
to the existing Product. This can be used when
you want to create a new product with the same
features of the existing Product.

Category
Editor
The Category Editor is used to manipulate the
Category details. You can add sub categories to
any main category. The Add New Category link can
be used to add a new category. You can specify
the Images and Images on mouse over for the category.
If there is an image for a category, it will be
displayed in the left navigation bar of the storefront.
The category will have the visibility, Markup
value.

Note:
- If the Main Category is made hidden, the main
category, the products and product groups under
the main category, the sub categories, which
are under this category and the products and
product groups under the sub categories, will
be hidden from the storefront. But they will
not be deleted.
- If the Main category is deleted the products
and product groups under the main category,
sub categories under the main categories and
the products and product groups under the sub
categories will be deleted.
Sub Categories:
Clicking the Category link takes you to the Sub
Categories list page. A new sub category can be
added with the help of Add New Sub Category option
at the top.
You can add Images and Image on mouse over for
the sub category. If there is an image for a sub
category, it will be displayed in the left navigation
bar of the storefront. The following parameters
can be added or edited for every sub category.
- Name
- Mark Up
- Description
- Visible
- Thumbnail
- Navigation Link Image
- Navigation Image OnMouseOver

Actions - There are three
links - Edit, Delete, Products. "Edit"
will enable you to edit the Sub Category details.
The "Delete" link will delete the Sub
Category. the "Products" link will display
the Products Search/ List Page, which lists the
Products associated with this Subcategory.
Category Editor – Delete
- Top Categories– Actions link provides
Edit, Delete and the Products Links.
- Sub Categories – Actions link provides
Edit, Delete and the Products Links.
Clicking the “Delete” Link for the Sub Categories
will delete
- The Products associated with the Sub Category
- The Product Group associated with the Sub
Category. (Though the Product
Group is deleted, the Products under the Product
Group that does not belong to the deleted Sub
Category will not be deleted. Only the association
of the Products with the Product Group will
be removed)
Refresh Mark Up refreshes
the mark up values in the product table. The Markup
Value is the one used to calculate the customer
price.
Move will sort the category according to
the selection - such as before or after another
category in the list.
Clicking on Products will take you to the
Inventory Manager and display the product
available under the selected sub category, whereby
you can use all the associated options.

Manufacturer
Editor
The Manufacturer Editor is used for adding, Editing
and deleting the names and logo of the Manufacturers
whose products are listed in the store.
- Manufacturer Name – The name of the
manufacturer, which will be displayed to the
user as the manufacturer’s name.
- Manufacturer Logo – The logo selected
for the particular manufacturer
- Show Mfg. Label – The manufacturer
Name that needs to be made visible in the client
section should be marked checked under this
option
- Browse – This link can be used to select
the logo for the selected manufacturer
- Preview – This link shall be used to
preview the selected logo
- Update – This link will update the
information you have edited
- Delete – This link will delete the
record from the database
- Add New Manufacturer – This will enable
you to add the new manufacturer and their information
to the list

Global
Product Options
This feature allows you to add Global Variants
like size, color and style to the Products. This
allows you to describe the product more specifically
under the product description. Once you have created
the Product Options, you can use the advanced
Tab in the Product Editor to assign these Product
Options to any of the Products. These Product
options can be assigned only after adding the
products. For e.g. Size can be one variant you
can define under the Global Product Options and
its description can be S, M, L, XL or XXL.

Actions - Clicking Update
will save any changes in the database. Clicking
Delete will delete the existing option class.
Move will update the sort order of the
product option according to the selection, determining
the order of display.

Discount
Editor
The Discount Editor allows you to provide users
with site-wide discounts, and also track the origin
of the sales produced by the discount code. The
Discount can be entered under two categories
- Discount Code Editor
- Discount Cookie Editor

Edit - This button is
used to edit the information related the selected
coupon/cookie
Delete - This button will delete the discount
coupon/cookie from the database.
Preview - The Preview link can be used
to view the storefront with the discounted prices
based on the selected cookie
Apply Site Wide - The Apply Site Wide link
shall be used to apply the discount Code for all
the products in the site. Only one of the discount
coupons can be applied as a Site wide discount.
Once this is done the store shall display all
the products with the discounted price.
Note: Only one of the discount
codes can be made site-wide. The “Remove Sitewide”
link shall be used to remove the already applied
site-wide discount. To make a discount code site-wide
the following conditions need to be satisfied:
- The discount Code should be in Percentage
- The target products should be “ALL”
Once the discount code is specified as site-wide,
the discount will be applied to all the customers
who browse the site within the expiry date of the
discount code.
Discount Code Editor – Add
New Coupon
The discount code editor is used to add a new
discount coupon or edit an existing one. Each
discount will have a unique discount code, which
can be used by the customer to redeem the discounts.
The details that have to be entered for defining
a new coupon are listed below.
Code - This is the unique discount code,
which will be entered by the customer for redeeming
the discounts
Good For - This is the discount value.
This value can be defined either as a flat amount
or as a percentage value
Minimum Purchase - This is the minimum
amount required for claiming the selected discount.
For example, You can set the cookie with the minimum
amount that the user has to purchase for in order
to avail the discount
Expiry Date - The validity of the discount
specified as the date of expiry. The user can
select the date of expiry using a calendar control
Target Products - The products you wish
to discount can be selected and added here
Browse for a Product - This link is used
to select the products if you want to give discount
only for specific Products. The Discount will
be set for all the products if the "All"
option is selected

Cancel - This button is
used to cancel the edit section and close the
window
Update - This button will update the discount
coupon details to the database
Note: When any discount coupon is applied
as Site Wide, the coupon discount needs to be
in Percentage and not a fixed Amount

Discount Cookie Editor – Add
New Cookie
The discount cookie editor can be used to edit
or add new discount cookies, which are added to
the URL as part of the query string to let your
customers redeem the coupon. The details that
have to be provided for creating the discount
cookie are listed below
- Code – The discount code that will
be added to the URL to let the customers redeem
the coupon
- Amount – The amount of discount defined
in percentage
- Expiry Date – The date of expiry of
the selected discount coupon

Cancel - This button is
used to cancel the edit section and close the
window
Update - This button will update the discount
coupon details to the database
Clear discount cookie for your browser:
This button is used to clear all the Discount
Cookies set in the administrator’s local machine,
which were used for previewing

Image
Manager
The Image Manager allows you to manage the images
that need to be uploaded to the e-store. You can
create your own folders using the Create Folder"
option. Once the folder is created, the link for
it will be created in the table below. Clicking
on it will take you to a page where you can upload
files using the tag "Upload Files" after
browsing for the required files using the "Browse"
option. When the Mouse is brought over the Image
Name or the small image available to the left
of the Image Name, a preview of the image will
be displayed in the right side of the display.
